Luis Ureta L. Actor, Theatre director. Master’s in university teaching, Bachelor of arts with a mention in theatre performance (Universidad de Chile). Director and founder of La Puerta Theatre Company. Director of a postgraduate degree in theatre directing UFT.

As a theatre director, he has had an outstanding participation in the festivals of Contemporary European Dramaturgy and National Dramaturgy, being Artistic Director of the latter. He has been teaching for more than twenty-five years in the most important theatrical training institutions in the country.

Currently, he works as director of Tsunami Project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Giselle Rubio Canales. Chilean actress graduated in acting (Universidad Finis Terrae), she has worked as an actress in theatre “Intentar no construir-lo”(Fondart 2011/2012),”Delirio a Dúo”(Fondart 2016/Fondart 2018) as an assistant director and actress, and in various productions of emerging companies. She has participated in short films and feature films. At the same time, she has developed in theatrical university teaching as an assistant in various areas, voice, acting, and movement (Universidad Finis Terrae).

Currently, she works as an assistant director of Tsunami project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Carlos Ugarte Díaz. 44-year-old Chilean actor graduated in acting (Universidad Católica de Chile). He has participated as an actor in various theatrical productions, including Mateluna and Escuela, both by the playwright and director Guillermo Calderón.” El último fuego”,” Pompas Fúnebres para Caballeros”, “El Bus” y “La Soga”, all under the direction of Luis Ureta “Un enemigo del pueblo” adaptation of the playwright Bosco Cayo, directed by  Colectivo Zoológico. “La casa de Dios” and “Después del fin” both under the direction of Paulina García.

In the audio-visual field, he has worked on the feature film “Secretos” (2007) by Raúl Ruiz, directed by Valeria Sarmiento and the television series “Litoral” (2008) directed by Raúl Ruiz, “Diario de mi residencia en Chile” by María Graham (2011) directed by Valeria Sarmiento and “Ecos del Desierto” (2013) by director Andrés Wood.

In the educational field, he has 14 years of experience in teaching and training people. Since 2016 he has been a professor of the acting course for first-year students at UNIACC University.

María Paz Grandjean, 45years old. Chilean actress (Universidad de Chile) Master’s in theatre (L’ Université Paris 8 Saint Denis, France, en Scènes du Monde, Histoire et Création) Currently works in theatre, cinema, and television. More than 35 theatrical productions, national and international tours are part of her theatrical experience. On television, she stands out in various series and soap operas. She has participated in numerous feature films and short films. She has developed singing, acting, and performance giving birth to the group “Lágrimas, Celos y Dudas”, while continuing her work on various platforms as an actress and in production. Best Actress Award 2019 by Círculo de Críticos de Chile.

Currently she works as an actress in Tsunami Project,in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Andrea Giadach Cristensen. Bachelor of Arts with Mention in Theatre Acting and a postgraduate degree in Political Philosophy (Universidad de Chile) As Director and Playwright, she has generated plays linked to political-social content, crossed by the topics: identity, territory and otherness. The play “Mi Mundo Patria” stands out published by Pehuén publishing house in 2018, “Penélope ya no espera” (premiered in 2014) and “El Círculo” (premiered in 2019). As a theatre director, she is currently in charge of a new production entitled “Simulacro de mi muerte”.

Since 2004 she has been a teacher in different higher education establishments in the field of theatre acting, directing various productions of graduates, the most recent “Freirina” (2018) at Universidad de Valparaíso, based on the real event of the town of Freirina.

Some of the latest plays in which participated as an actress are: “Lucecitas en el cielo” by Cristian Cristino and directed by Mario Monge, “Mateluna and Escuela” written and directed by Guillermo Calderón, “Trovarsi” directed by Aliocha de la Sotta, “La pieza” by Gerardo Oettinger, directed by J. Dagorrett and “Territorio descuajado” directed by Paula González.

Sergio Piña Mallea. Actor (Instituto Profesional Teatro La Casa) and a graduate in aesthetics (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) He has studied illumination at the theatrical design school of the Universidad de Chile and has participated as an actor in numerous stagings of various national independent theatre companies.

 

He has participated in eight versions of the National Dramaturgy Festival (1995-2006)

From 2005 to date, he has been part of La Puerta theatre company Director, Luis Ureta. As an actor he takes part in seven productions of the Contemporary European Dramaturgy Festival.”Putas Errantes”,“Nadar como Perro”, “Mountainbikers”, ”Palabras y Cuerpos”, “Idilio Final”, “La cosa” and “Deseo y Milagro”.He participates in two binational co-production projects (Chile-Germany). “Calias Tentativas sobre la Belleza” at Internationale Schillertage,Nationaltheater Mannheim(2007) And “La Cosa” at De Mulheim Theater Festival (2013).

He acts in the plays “Plaga” , “Parámo” and “Hombre Acosado por Demonios frente a un Espejo” Proyecto Fondart Bicentenario de Rescrituras (2009-2010).

Bosco Cayo. Actor, director and playwright (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), Psychologist (Universidad de La Serena) Member of Compañía Limitada, Teatro Sin Dominio and Teatro La Mala Clase. He has worked as a teacher in theatre schools in different regions of the country. Selected by the Royal Court Theatre and the cycle “New Plays from Chile”, with his project “Negra La enfermera del General”. Some of his plays include: “Limítrofe”, “Leftraru”, “Silabario”, “La dama de los Andes” (Award for best literary work, dramaturgy genre 2017, awarded by the CNCA) “El Dylan”, “Plan Vivienda” (2015-2045), “Cuerpo Pretérito”(Sandra Barraza), “Fronteras”, “Los Despertares de Marín” (2019) and “Evangelista” (2020), among others.

 

Currently, he works as a playwright for Tsunami project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Mónica Drouilly Hurtado. Narrator, playwright, editor and translator, she is a civil engineer with a degree in aesthetics (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) She has studied cultural and critical journalism (Universidad de Chile) and theatre directing (Universidad Finis Terrae) She is the author of the book “Retrovisor” and the theatre texts “Querido John, take a chance on me”, “Mopi Mops” and “No abrigo odio por nadie”. She has won various awards, including the XVIII National Dramaturgy Show and the 2018 Best Literary Work Award, both awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, The II Jorge Díaz 2019 Dramaturgy Contest for children and youth and the Paula Story Contest (2013, 2016, 2017). She is the founder and editorial director of the Noctámbula label. Now she works as a playwright with “Drama Club” in the writing of the play “Newsroom of the future”, and in Naturaleza Artificial in the writing of “Cuerpo inapto”.

 

She is currently part of Tsunami Project, working in the research team, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Mauricio Barría Jara. Playwright and theatre researcher. Doctor of Philosophy with a major in Aesthetics. Academic of the Department of Theatre of the Universidad de Chile. He has won the National Dramaturgy Show with “El ínfimo suspiro” (2000), “El peso de la pureza” (2003) directed by Luis Ureta and “Impudicia” (2005). In 2010 his play “Páramo” premiered as part of the project to celebrate the 20 years of La Puerta theatre company. In 2015 his play “Banal” premiered, which obtained the scholarship for literary creation from the Fondo del Libro y la Lectura His work has investigated the links between words and sound, moving in recent times towards radio drama and sound art for public spaces. In 2017, AppRecuerdos was released, co-produced with the German collective Rimini Protokoll. As a researcher, he has published more than thirty articles in magazines and books in Chile and abroad.

He is currently part of Tsunami Project, working in the research team.

Christian Ahumada Maturana. Born in Santiago, Chile in 1976. Acting degree (Universidad de Artes y Ciencias Sociales) Cultural Manager of the Universidad de Chile and master’s in business management (Universidad Adolfo Ibañez) He is currently Executive Director of GESTUS, a company specialized in cultural projects and high-level international events.

He has developed his professional work mainly in the areas of Management and Cultural Production. In the National Council of Culture and the Arts, he coordinated important Culture programs for the Government of Chile (1998-2004). He was in charge of the “Impulsos” Magazine and participated in the creation of the CNCA Dance Area. He was also a member of the production team of the Presidency of Chile at the Palacio de la Moneda (2006-2009). In theatre, he has been a producer for Teatro Cinema, Teatro La Provincia and Teatro La Balanza.

 

 

 

In 2010 he founded the Gestus company, of which he is Executive Director from its foundation to date.

 

Currently, he works as a producer for Tsunami project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Francisca Victoria Babul Guixé. Journalist (Universidad de Chile). Master’s in art history (Universidad Adolfo Ibañez). Cultural marketing and fundraising specialist (IART, Madrid, Spain).

She has worked as a journalist in various mass media: Radio Universidad de Chile, Radio Usach, Radio Zero, magazine “La Panera”, “El Mercurio”, magazine “Qué Pasa” and “La Tercera”, where she collaborated from 2007 to 2015. In the area of public administration, she worked as communications manager for DIVESUP (Ministry of Education) and the MECESUP program (2009-2010). During 2017 and 2018, she served as Communications Manager for the Chilean National Theatre. She is currently in charge of Communications in rectory of the Universidad de Chile. She has extensive experience in the cultural field. From 2008 to date she has been dedicated to cultural management, as a producer and press manager for various initiatives, especially in the area of performing arts. She has been a professor of management and cultural journalism in the Universities of Chile: Uniacc, Finis Terrae, U. Central, U. de Santiago and U. de Valparaíso.

 

Currently, she works in press and communications for Tsunami project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Daniel Marabolí Bernales. He studied theatre acting at Universidad de Chile and has a degree in performing arts at Universidad Mayor. He is, since 2006, an artistic trainer teaching different chairs in various academic institutions that train artists, becoming a teacher who promotes research and experimentation in new formats of scenic and performative creation.

From 2001 to date he has composed the musical and/or sound design of 100 productions of the national scene. Starting in 2009, when he began directing, he has been developing stage creation methodologies that are based on sound and musical mechanisms. His research since 2012 has been based on proposing new and diverse formats of scenic creation, in addition to deepening technical and sound creation through the sound of the voice, technologies and musical devices. That same year he created his most important creative alliance with the artist Trinidad Piriz from which multiple creations emerged, in addition to the training seminar given to professionals and amateurs named “El sonido y el adentro”, which has been performed inside and outside of Chile.

Currently, he works on the musical and sound design for Tsunami project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

Cristian Reyes Vera. Stage designer with studies in theatre design (Universidad de Chile) he has an outstanding career in the design of scenery, lighting and multimedia for theatre and dance. In his vast career, he has designed and collaborated with various theatres, institutions, companies and directors such as Luis Ureta, Juan Carlos Zagal, Héctor Noguera, Aldo Droguet, Marcos Guzmán, Rodrigo Bazaes, Cristián Marambio, among others. His participation in the designer team and multimedia manager of the contents of the Chilean Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo is outstanding. His work has systematically sought to investigate the processes and technological tools applied to the scene, achieving an attractive dialogue between technology and content, with significant results for the development of the discipline of scenic design in the last decade.

 

Currently, he develops his laboratory work together with the dancer and choreographer Francisca Sazie, and as a co-founder member of the artistic group Proyecto Antártica, being a set and lighting designer for “Redoble fúnebre para lobos y corderos”, trilogy directed by Rodrigo Bazaes with which Teatro UC honored the recent national theatre award winner, Juan Radrigán.

Also, he participates as an integral designer for Tsunami Project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years

Eduardo Cerón Tillería. Scenic and graphic designer, he has worked since 2000 in different companies on the national scene, His work in theatre standing out, and extending to dance, visual arts and audio-visual work. In theatre, he has made the integral design for more than 60 productions for various companies and he has worked as a designer in the National and European dramaturgy shows in Santiago, Chile. In Chilean theatre alone he has made more than 200 graphic pieces, in this way, his graphic work was highlighted when he was selected in 2008 to exhibit in the display of contemporary Chilean designers, He was in charge of the covers of the Mexican magazine “Paso de gato” and the magazine Teatros Latinoamericanos in Paris, France.

He was part of the delegation of professional stage designers for the Chilean stand at the Quadrienal of theatrical design in Prague.

 

He has also taught at the schools of Theatre and Design at Universidad Arcis and UNIACC, respectively.

Currently, he works as a graphic designer for Tsunami Project, in the context of La Puerta’s 30 years.

(Español) Macarena Ahumada Jones es Licenciada en Artes, con Mención en Diseño Teatral. Como Vestuarista y Escenógrafa ha participado en destacadas Producciones Teatrales y Audiovisuales en Chile. Tiene estudios de perfeccionamiento en Diseño de Indumentaria, Historia del Arte y Dirección de Arte para cine y tv en Argentina. 
Trabajó como Docente de Vestuario para la Carrera de Diseño Escénico, Diseño Teatral e Intérpretes de Comedia Musical. Posee un Posgrado de Especialización en  Lenguajes  Artísticos Combinados, del IUNA, Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte, Argentina
Con una estrecha relación con la confección, las telas, tejidos y lanas, actualmente, crochet en mano, creó su marca SANTO CROCHET, donde desarrolla proyectos artísticos de arte textil, contando ya con dos exposiciones y una campaña comunicacional exitosa junto al Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM).
En la actualidad, trabaja como vestuarista del proyecto Tsunami, en el contexto de los 30 años de La Puerta.
